In one easy step, add the taste of savory, roasted garlic to this dish with our garlic-flavored extra virgin olive oil.

INGREDIENTS

  • ⅓ cup / pitted Kalamata olives, roughly chopped
  • 16 ounces / raw mixed nuts of choice
  • 1 tablespoon / Zucchi Garlic Flavored EVOO
  • 1 tablespoon / honey
  • 1 tablespoon / sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon / freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon / minced rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon / minced sage
  • ½ teaspoon / ground paprika

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Line a microwavable plate with a couple of paper towels. Spread the chopped olives on the paper towels in a single layer. Microwave for 2½ to 3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until the olives look fairly dry. Remove from microwave and let cool for 10 minutes. The olives will become crispier while they cool.
  2. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 300°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Add the dried olives, nuts, and remaining ingredients to a large mixing bowl. Stir until the nuts and olives are coated in the seasonings. Add a little more Zucchi Garlic EVOO if the nuts seem dry.
  4. Spread the mixture onto the lined baking tray and bake for 25-30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Once the nuts are golden and the oil has evaporated, remove them from oven and let cool for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
